Following on from my previous blogs about protecting intellectual property, if all else fails and you are forced into the courts, it is worth knowing about the specialist Intellectual Property Enterprise Court.
You can use the IPEC for less complex, lower value disputes over intellectual property including those relating to copyright, patents, registered designs and registered trademarks. The recovery of damages at the IPEC is capped at £500,000 and there is a £50,000 cap on the recovery of costs.
